Extend, improve or otherwise alter existing house

Please answer the following:

On completion of works, will more than 50% of ground, excluding original house, be covered?
Will result of works make any part of any building added improved or altered, higher than highest part of existing house?
Will height of eaves of part of house, extended improved or altered, exceed height of eaves of existing house?
Will any enlarged part of house extend beyond a wall, fronting a highway and forming the principal elevation or side elevation of the original house?
Will any enlarged part of house be single storey and extend beyond the rear wall of the original house by more than 4 metres, if house detached, or 3 metres, in other cases, or exceed 4 metres in height?
Will any enlarged part of house be more than one storey and extend beyond the rear wall of the original house by more than 3 metres, or be within 7 metres of any boundary of the curtilage of a house opposite the rear wall of your house?
Will any enlarged part of house be within 2 metres of the boundary of the curtilage of the house and will the height of the eaves of any enlarged part of the house exceed 3 metres?
Will any enlarged part of house extend beyond a wall forming a side elevation of the original house and exceed 4 metres in height, have more than one storey or have a width greater than the width of the original house?
Will the proposed works consist of or include the installation, alteration or replacement of a microwave antenna?
Will the proposed works consist of or include the construction or provision of a veranda, balcony or raised platform?
Will the proposed works consist of or include the installation, alteration or replacement of a chimney, flue or soil and vent pipe?
Will the proposed works consist of or include an alteration to any part of the roof of the house?

NB - original house means as built or as it was on 1^st. July, 1948.

In all cases, proposed works are subject to the following conditions:-

• materials used in any exterior work, (except conservatories), must be similar in appearance to those of the existing house.
• any upper-floor window in a wall or roof slope forming a side elevation of the house must be
  1. obscure-glazed and
  2. non-opening, unless parts capable of being opened are more than 1.7 metres above floor of room, in which window is installed.
• where an enlarged part of a house has more than one storey, the roof pitch of the enlarged part must, as far as practicable, be the same as the roof pitch of the original house.
