Premises Applications

The following applications are currently out for consultation.  Objections/comments may be received until the consultation closes.  Copies of the applications can be view at the Council Offices, Castle View, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 1JR

For new or variation applications if no representations/objections are received within the 28 day consultation period then the council must grant the licence as requested.  Where representations are received the Licensing Section will aim to resolve these amicably with the applicant.  However, where this is not possible the application will go before the Licensing Sub-Committee who will decide whether to grant or refuse the application.

Where the application is for the review of an existing licence the Council must hold a hearing.  The Council has no discretion to resolve any objections informally.

Representations/objections may be received from the responsible authorities, local residents or their representatives, MP's and businesses in the vicinity of the premise.  A hearing will take place within 20 working days of the end of the consultation period.
