Additional Rules for Works to Houses in Conservation Areas 

You will need to apply for Planning Permission, if your house is in a Conservation Area and you propose to carry out any of the following works:-

• cladding of any part of the exterior of the house with stone, artificial stone, pebble dash, render, timber, plastic or tiles.
• enlargement of the house, extending beyond a wall forming a side elevation of the original house.
• enlargement of the house, consisting of more than one storey and extending beyond the rear wall of the original house.
