Install, alter or replace Solar Photovoltaic or Solar Thermal Equipment

Please answer the following:

Will equipment protrude more than 200 mm. beyond the plane of the wall or roof slope when measured from the perpendicular with the external surface of the wall or roof slope?
Will the highest part of the equipment be higher than the highest part of the roof, (excluding any chimney)?
Will the equipment be installed on a wall forming the principal or side elevation of the house and be visible from a highway, if on land within a Conservation Area? Follow this link to check if your house is in a Conservation Area.
Will the equipment be installed on a building within the curtilage of the house and be visible from a highway, if on land within a Conservation Area? Follow this link to check if your house is in a Conservation Area.
Will the equipment be installed on a listed building?
If the answer to ALL of the above is "No", click the NO button.

N.B. The following conditions apply to all installations:-

• siting of the equipment shall be such as to minimise its effect on the external appearance of the building and on the amenity of the area
• when no longer needed for microgeneration, the equipment must be removed as soon as reasonably practicable
