Partnership

Oswestry Crime Reduction Partnership is a statutory crime and disorder partnership established under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The statutory partners are Oswestry Borough Council, West Mercia Constabulary, Shropshire County Council and Shropshire Fire and Resuce.

The driving force of the partnership is the Action Group. This is chaired independently, currently by a representative of the Shropshire Primary Care Trust.

Our Priorities

We took the findings from the 2004 Crime, Disorder and substance misuse audit and ask the people living and working in Oswestry Borough to help us idenitfy priorities for the next three years. Our Strategy therefore aims to reduce crime and the fear of crime in Oswestry Borough by working to meet agreed local Partnership outcomes under five priority themes.
