Local Plan 1996-2006

Saved Local Plan Policies

Oswestry Borough Council is currently developing its replacement for the current Local Plan 1996-2006 - The Local Development Framework. This will, over a number of years, phase out the local plan. As part of the transition to the new planning system the local plan policies were initially saved for three years (up to the 27th September 2007). Following an application by the Council, the Secretary of State has now issued a Direction extending the life of relevant Local Plan Policies until such a time that the development plan documents of the LDF are adopted with policies to replace them.
